By coincidence I have also been to that pub “Le recrutement”, also in the rain. This is a rugby-themed pub, but very friendly and pleasant. (Even though I don’t have a clue about rugby.)

Beautifully click up there..Night, Rain and Lights – each one of them seems to have added to the elegance and beauty of Eiffel Tower.. I too was in Paris with my family very recently and We just loved the vibes there..
