The airport in St. Barth is considered one of the most dangerous in the world and can only be servewd with a special license. The very short runway must be flown by the pilots in a dive and braked sharply after the “touchdown” of the machine. An approach from the opposite direction over the bay of St. Jean also requires the highest concentratiozn of pilots.

For visitors to St Barth via Saint Martin (Sint Maarten), the ferry can alternatively be used from Princess Juliana, Oysterpond or Marigot; but beware, the crossing between the two islands can be very hearty at high seas.

Die sehr kurze Landebahn muss von den Piloten im Sturzflug angeflogen und nach dem „Touchdown“ der Maschine scharf abgebremst werden. Ein Anflug aus der Gegenrichtung über die Meeresbucht von St. Jean erfordert ebenfalls höchste Konzentration der Piloten.
Für Besucher der Insel St. Barth über Saint Martin (Sint Maarten) kann alternativ die Fähre ab Flughafen Princess Juliana, Oysterpond oder Marigot benutzt werden; aber Achtung, die Überfahrt zwischen den beiden Inseln kann bei hohem Seegang ganz schön deftig werden.
