In 1992 Angela Rosengart founded the “Rosengart Foundation” in Lucerne, the daughter of art dealer Siegfried Rosengart, who died in 1985, with the purpose of preserving the art collection and making it accessible to the public. Since 2002, the “Art Collection Rosengart” has been housed in the neoclassical former building of the Swiss National Bank. In addition to Pablo Picasso, visitors to the museum will also be able to see works by Paul Klee, Monet, Cézanne, Matisse, Chagall and Miro.
