The depicted canon is a RML 10-inch rifled muzzle loading gun in front of the South Bastion in Gibraltar. Such guns were used for British battle ships and fixed coastal defense systems around the British Empire in the second half of the 19th century.
The gun shown is located in the city center of Gibraltar. You would find it on the way to the cable car station and only a few steps away from the Trafalgar Cemetery. Many of the buried in this cemetery were killed in sea battles, two of which in the battle of Trafalgar in 1805.

Bei der abgebildeten Waffe handelt es sich um eine 10-Zoll-Kanone mit gezogenem Lauf, sie befindet sich vor der Süd Bastion in Gibraltar. Solche Geschütze wurden im Britischen Empire während der zweiten Hälfte des 19. Jahrhunderts auf Schlachtschiffen und auf Festungen der Küstenabwehr eingesetzt.
Trafalgar Cemetery
Diese Kanone befindet sich im Stadtzentrum von Gibraltar auf dem Weg zur Seilbahnstation und ist nur wenige Schritte vom Trafalgar Friedhof entfernt. Viele der auf diesem Friedhof begrabenen wurden in Seeschlachten getötet, zwei davon in der Schlacht von Trafalgar im Jahr 1805.
