The Gibraltar International Airport it’s unique in the World. The runway crosses Winston Churchill Avenue, the only road link with Spain. There are neither for pedestrians nor cars over or underpasses to cross the airfield. Actually, the road over the runway will be closed, similarly to train crossings, at every take-off and landing.
