Trastevere in Rome

My favorite place in Rome is definitely Trastevere. In ancient Rome it was once the quarter of the workers, foreigners and marginalized groups. Today, Trastevere is known for its many old buildings, churches, narrow romantic streets and countless restaurants and bars as a nightlife and a tourist attraction for all those that want to get the real Rome feeling. Located on the left bank of the Tiber, opposite the historic city center, this neighborhood is just a few hundred meters away from other famous tourist attractions, such as Campo di Fiori, and can be easily reached by public transport or on foot via Ponte Sisto or Ponte Garibaldi.

Mein Lieblingsort in Rom ist auf jeden Fall Trastevere. Im alten Rom war es einst das Viertel der Arbeiter, Ausländer und Randgruppen. Heute ist Trastevere bekannt für seine vielen alten Gebäude, Kirchen, engen romantischen Gassen, Plätze und unzähligen Restaurants und Bars als Ausgehmeile und Anziehungspunkt für Touristen die das richtige Rom-Feeling spüren möchten. Dieses Viertel liegt am linken Ufer des Tiber, gegenüber dem historischen Stadtzentrum, nur wenige hundert Meter von anderen berühmten Touristenattraktionen wie dem Campo di Fiori entfernt und kann leicht mit öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln oder zu Fuß über Ponte Sisto oder Ponte Garibaldi erreicht werden.
