Anguilla (British West Indies)

My favorite destination in the Caribbean is the small island Anguilla in the British West Indies. Anguilla with its white sand and turquoise watersares has, in my opinion, the most beautiful beaches in the Caribbean.

Especially noteworthy is the Meads Bay, just beautiful and almost deserted, peaceful and quiet. Right on the beach is the small, pretty and excellently run Hotel Carimar Beach Club. All rooms have sea view, some directly, others laterally through the well-kept tropical garden. For someone that is looking for paradise, the Carimar on Meads Bay is the place to go!

Jacala Beach Restaurant

Also, some of the best Caribbean restaurants are on Anguilla; a must have been destination for gourmets. My personal favorite is the Jacala Beach Restaurant, just a five-minute walk from the Carimar. The owners, Jacques and Alain have created a wonderful Restaurant. The service is impeccable, the food outstanding and the ambiance with the ocean in the background just spectacular and hard to beat!

Carimar Beach Club Hotel

Mein Lieblingsziel in der Karibik ist die kleine Insel Anguilla in den British West Indies. Anguilla mit seinem weißen Sand und türkisen Wasser hat meiner Meinung nach die schönsten Strände der Karibik. 

Ocean Echo Restaurant & Bar

Ganz besonders hervorzuheben ist die Meads Bay, einfach wunderschön und beinahe menschenleer, Ruhe und Erholung pur. Direkt am Strand liegt das kleine, hübsche und hervorragend geführte Hotel Carimar Beach Club. Alle Zimmer haben Meersicht, einige davon direkt auf den Strand, andere seitlich durch den gepflegten tropischen Garten. Für jemanden auf der Suche nach dem Paradies ist das Carimar an der Meads Bay die richtige Adresse! Auch die Gourmets kommen nicht zu kurz, denn einige der besten Restaurants in der Karibik befinden sich auf Anguilla. Mein persönlicher Favorit ist das Jacala Beach Restaurant, nur fünf Gehminuten vom Carimar entfernt. Die Eigentümer, Jacques und Alain haben ein wunderbares Restaurant geschaffen. Der Service ist einwandfrei, das Essen hervorragend und das Ambiente mit dem Ozean im Hintergrund einfach spektakulär und nicht mehr zu überbieten!
