The Bregenz Festival Austria

For all opera lovers, I recommend a visit to the Bregenz Festival in Austria on the Lake of Constance. This year, the opera Carmen by Georges Bizet will be performed on the impressive and world-famous floating stage. The event takes place from 19th July (premiere) to 19th August. Those who have never been to Bregenz may remember the “Tosca” Eye on the floating stage which served as backdrop for the James Bond movie “A Quantum of Solace” in 2008. If you decide to go to Bregenz, I am convinced that, in contrast to James Bond, you will enjoy the Opera to the fullest.

Seebühne Bregenz Austria

Bregenz is the capital of the Austrian province of Vorarlberg. The city has the largest Austrian port on the Lake of Constanze, a worth seeing old town and Bregenz is an important, far beyond the national borders well-known, cultural center.

Für alle Opernliebhaber empfehle ich einen Besuch der Bregenzer Festspiele in Österreich am Bodensee. Die Oper Carmen von Georges Bizet wird dieses Jahr auf der eindrücklichen und weltbekannten Seebühne vom 19. Juli (Premiere) bis zum 19. August im Freien aufgeführt. All jene, die noch nie in Bregenz waren, können sich vielleicht an das „Tosca“ Auge auf der Seebühne erinnern, welches 2008 als Kulisse für den James Bond-Film „Ein Quantum Trost“ diente. Sollten Sie sich für einen Opernbesuch entscheiden bin ich überzeugt, dass sie diesen im Gegensatz zu Bond in vollsten Zügen geniessen werden. 

Oberstadt – Old Town Bregenz

Bregenz ist die Landeshauptstadt des österreichischen Bundeslandes Vorarlberg. Die Stadt hat den grössten österreichischen Bodensee­hafen, eine sehenswerte Altstadt und ist ein bedeutendes, weit über die Landesgrenzen bekanntes Kulturzentrum.
